ARCHIVE AND LIBRARY |

Bibliotheca Germanorum erotica & curiosa. Index of German erotic literature in it’s entirety with inclusion of translations. Ed. Hugo Hayn and Alfred N. Gotendorf. 8 Volumes and a supplementary volume - an indispensable reference work |
We gather all available materials that document gay life - past and present. For this, we are dependant on your support as we have no budget to purchase items. Our entire collection has been donated by our friends and advocates. What has been collected together, is as follows: An extensive library of literature (fact and fiction) concerning all aspects of gay (and many aspects of lesbian) life. Much of it is drawn from Cologne and the Rhineland region and is available only from the CSG. Memorabilia of Homosexual societies, leaflets, pamphlet, placards and other materials of the gay movement. Gay (and lesbian) periodicals from mainland Germany and foreign countries. An extensive collection of newspaper cuttings. Photos, videos and sound-recordings. Living witness accounts are available on cassette and in transcript form. These first hand accounts go back to the time of the Weimarer Republic. Much of what we know of the last 70 years of Gay history, we know only through the memories recorded here. Our archive and library are accessible to the public during office hours or by prior arrangement. However, we regret that materials cannot be loaned out. We would be very grateful for your individual or collective contributions to our archive. We are also looking for a colleague with computer skills for research purposes. |
